UNSW Canberra Campus
UNSW Canberra offers postgraduate coursework and research programs in Arts, Business, Engineering, Project Management, Science and IT. Our programs are accessible to members of the community, graduates, professionals and members of the Defence industry. UNSW Canberra offers low student-teacher ratios so that students receive support from staff whenever they need it. We also have one of the most comprehensive libraries in the country. Students can study via distance education, intensive delivery or on campus at the Australian Defence Force Academy. Our location means the campus has a unique vibe, with uniformed students making up the majority of the student population.
In our capacity to deliver quality education the campus appoints world class academics. Teaching staff contribute actively to public discussion of issues such as Asia Pacific relations, national security, politics, science and technology.
Coursework Programs
Postgraduate coursework programs are offered at UNSW Canberra campus in Arts, Business, Engineering, Project Management, Science and Information Technology. Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas and Masters can be taught either on campus, through intensive delivery mode or via Distance learning. The courses maintain currency and relevance to meet the needs of government and industry.
With our close proximity and relationships with the Australian Government, programs have been designed to suit people in the public service, corporate and industry sectors who wish to enhance their expertise or change career.
Areas of study include History, Politics, Asia Pacific Studies, Management and Business, Public Administration, Strategy and Security, Logistics, Project Management, Data Communications and Analysis, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Marine Engineering and International Security.
Research Programs
UNSW Canberra campus is a significant research institution which provides a supportive and stimulating environment for postgraduate research students. It offers A wide range of research programs that are open to eligible domestic and international students.
The campus has more than 470 staff and students engaged in research and this is . This is recognised by our publications output and the significant external research funding attracted each year.
Academic staff are leaders in their field and continue to conduct cutting-edge research in physical, environmental and mathematical sciences, engineering and technology. They work closely with industry, commerce and public research bodies in Australia and overseas to ensure that programs remain current and relevant.
Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Philosophy programs are offered in all disciplines. Masters by Research include Master of Arts, Master of Engineering and Master of Science. A Professional Doctorate is also offered in IT.
